I think you’ve probably had enough of those.
If you’ve spent years trying to eat healthier…
saving recipes…
buying healthy groceries…
starting over every Monday…
or wondering why healthy eating always seems harder than it should…
I want you to know something.
You’re not the problem.
I don’t think most women fail because they lack willpower.
I think most women have simply never been shown how to make healthy eating fit their actual lives.
That’s become my mission.
To help women over 40 build a simple, repeatable way of eating that fits real life—so they stop starting over and naturally become women who know how to nourish themselves.
But I didn’t always believe that.
More than 25 years ago, my body felt like it had completely hit a wall.
I was exhausted all the time.
Not just tired the kind of fatigue where your arms and legs feel weak and even getting through the workday feels hard.
One day I rested my eyes “just for a minute” at my desk and woke up because I’d actually fallen asleep.
It was embarrassing.
But it was also a wake-up call.
For years I’d been dealing with digestive issues bloating, constipation, discomfort—and I’d started believing that was just normal for me.
But now I was living on caffeine and sugar just to make it through the day.
I knew something wasn’t right.
And deep down, I had a feeling it had something to do with how I was eating.
I didn’t set out to become a health coach.
I simply wanted to feel better.
So I started paying attention.
I researched.
I experimented.
I noticed how different foods affected my body.
Within days, my digestion improved.
Within weeks, my energy started coming back.
My cravings settled down.
The headaches I’d struggled with became less frequent.
My mood improved.
I felt stronger.
Clearer.
Like myself again.
And once I experienced what was possible, there was no going back.
Healthy eating stopped feeling like something I was trying to do.
It simply became the way I lived.
Women don’t need more nutrition information. We’re surrounded by it.
The problem is knowing what matters, then actually doing it when you’re tired, busy and everyone wants to know what’s for dinner.
I don’t think that’s a willpower problem. I think it’s a real-life problem.
Not another diet.
Not another meal plan.
A way to eat that works in your actual life.
So you stop wondering what to eat, stop starting over and start trusting yourself to know what works for you.
That’s what I call becoming a Thriver.
Before becoming a health coach, I was a broadcast journalist and later vice president of public relations and marketing for a national advertising agency.
My own health journey eventually pulled me in a completely different direction. I studied nutrition and dietetics at Texas Woman’s University and became a certified holistic health coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, with additional Integrative Nutrition training through Columbia University’s Teachers College.
For almost 20 years, I’ve helped women use nutrition to feel better and take better care of themselves.
Along the way, I’ve spoken at organizations including Samsung, Grant Thornton and HKS, led wellness workshops with Cancer Support Community, co-authored Powerhouse Women: Dream to Succeed and have been featured in American Way magazine.
And when I’m not talking about food? I’m probably strength training, working on my golf game, walking outside or planning my next trip somewhere with a beach. I live in Dallas with my husband and daughter.
If you’re tired of feeling confused about food…
If you’re ready for healthy eating to feel simpler…
And if you want to become the woman who naturally knows how to nourish herself…
I’d love to help.
