Guiltless Chocolate Mug Cake
It has no grains, sugar, oil or butter, so it’s naturally gluten free, sugar free, dairy free, vegan, paleo and only has 152 calories! 😍
Whaaattt???!!!
I know!! And it only has four ingredients… banana, almond butter, cocoa powder and sugar-free chocolate chips.
I didn’t have any ripe bananas, so I used frozen banana and it still turned out. I just had to cook it a bit longer.
If you have the time, I recommend you bake it in the oven. Knowing the exact right time for your microwave is tough. You can start with one minute and then cook in 15-second increments if needed.
This is definitely an adult mud cake. If you want to make it more kid-friendly, try cutting back on the cocoa and maybe use regular chocolate chips.
To make it even darker, you can replace 1 TBSP of the cocoa with raw cacao powder. But try it the regular way first. Cacao is healthier, but quite strong.
If you decide to give it a whirl, let me know what you think.😋
Guiltless Chocolate Mug Cake💕
(Adapted from Big Man’s World)
Ingredients
– 1 medium overripe banana
– 2 TBSP raw almond butter (or any nut or seed butter)
– 2 TBSP cocoa powder
– 2 TBSP Lily’s Dark Chocolate Baking Chips, Stevia Sweetened (or whatever brand you like)
Directions
1. Grease your mug with ghee or coconut oil and set aside.
2. In a blender or large mixing bowl, add all ingredients except for chocolate chips. Blend/mix until you have a smooth batter.
3. Pour batter into mug and stir in 1 TBSP of chocolate chips. Then sprinkle the rest of the chocolate chips on top.
4. Microwave for about one minute. If it needs more time, cook in 15-second increments and keep testing. If you can, use the oven and bake at 350° F for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out just clean.
Note
Since this brownie has no eggs, you can enjoy it barely cooked so it’s super moist and gooey.
